Matthew grew up in the Cincinnati area and graduated on a full scholarship from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, located at Kings Point, New York. Prior to entering law practice, Matthew served as a merchant marine officer aboard U.S.-flagged, unlimited tonnage, commercial cargo ships operating in international trade routes. Having attained a wealth of regulatory experience in this capacity, and with the law as a calling, Matthew earned his law license. Once in private practice, Matthew quickly found success in a wide range of cases and disputes, routinely involving high-stakes, contested litigation. Matthew now litigates on behalf of countless individuals, families and legal entities across Southeast Indiana and Northern Kentucky.


Outside of law practice, Matthew spends time with his family, enjoys sports and stays current with regional, national and global affairs.

Ashley Franxman started at McDaniel Law, LLC as the Business Manager in September of 2018.

Prior to her involvement, Ashley successfully served as executive director at several health care and senior living campuses across the Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana region. In this capacity, Ashley managed and exercised financial oversight of several multi-million dollar corporate accounts and reported directly to the executive officers of these corporate entities.

Ashley graduated in 2010 with a B.S. in Health Services Management from Indiana University Purdue University, Indianapolis. She is originally from a small town outside of Independence, Kentucky.



Ashley Kinnett started at McDaniel Law, LLC as the Client Services Director in July of 2019 and quickly advanced to the role of Legal Assistant the next year.

She is a graduate of Lawrenceburg High School and Ball State University in Indiana. At Ball State, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Family and Consumer Sciences and made the Dean’s List all 8 semesters of her college career. She was honored with the Outstanding Senior of the Year award for the Hospitality Department. She was also the Student Manager of the Ball State University Hotel for 2 years, president of Creative Minds for 2 years, served as Committee Chair and Treasurer of the Hospitality & Food Management Association (HFMA), and earned Senior of the Year from Phi Upsilon Omicron. She recently completed the Small Business Boot Camp through the Indiana Small Business Development Center and started an online craft store through

In her spare time Ashley crafts, travels, and helps out around the farm. She also works part-time at Riverbend Music Center as a Concierge Club Supervisor and River Room Manager.
